Role: Robotics Integration Engineer.

You will report directly to Asia General Manager and work closely with the department of AI & Robotics to ensure the quality and reliability of robotic systems while optimizing operational processes. The ideal candidate will work with experienced engineers and contribute to develop testing protocols, improve system performance, and maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced robotics environment.

The role
A Robotics Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the integration of robotic systems into various operational environments. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and configure hardware and software solutions, ensuring seamless communication between robotic devices, sensors, and other equipment. The engineer analyzes system requirements, troubleshoots technical issues, and tests the functionality of robotic systems to enhance performance and reliability. Additionally, they provide technical documentation, training, and ongoing support to stakeholders while staying updated on advancements in robotics and automation technologies to drive innovation and improve efficiency in the integration process.
A Robotics Integration Engineer requires a range of hard skills to succeed in the role, including:
Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in languages like Python, C++, ROS (Robot Operating System), and scripting languages for automation.
Control Systems: Knowledge of control theory, motion planning, and kinematics for robotics systems.
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering: Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motors, and other robotic components, including their design and integration.
System Integration: Experience in integrating hardware with software, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems.
Networking and Communication Protocols: Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN, RS232) and wireless communication.
Machine Vision and AI: Familiarity with machine vision systems, AI models for perception, and tools like OpenCV or TensorFlow.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Skills in diagnostic tools, system testing, debugging, and optimization.
Data Analysis: Competence in analyzing system performance using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
