Corporate Development & FinOps Analyst

The role:
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, Kiwibot is seeking a Corporate Development & FinOps who will be instrumental in driving both strategic corporate transactions and financial operations optimization. This role is a 50/50 hybrid of Corporate Development and FinOps, making it ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys both transaction execution and operational financial insights.. This new role is designed for an individual with strong analytical, financial, and business intelligence (BI) skills, along with an interest in corporate strategy. You will work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for growth, assess the strategic impact of potential transactions, leverage BI tools to inform decision-making, and support the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and other key business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Operational Analysis (FinOps - 50%)
Build data-driven dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Datastudio) to track key financial and operational metrics that support strategic decision-making.
Use BI tools to automate reporting processes and track business performance against strategic goals to generate actionable strategic insights for management.
Monitor unit economics, cash flow, profitability, and operational KPIs, identifying opportunities to optimize business performance and identify growth opportunities.
Assist in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Evaluate and model the financial impact of potential strategic initiatives and investments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Accounting, Operations) to enhance business performance.

Corporate Development & Transaction Execution (50%):
Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
Provide analytical support in the development of strategic initiatives, new business opportunities, and long-term planning.
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and executing mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met.
Build and maintain financial models (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions) to assess the financial impact of acquisitions and other business opportunities.
Support the due diligence process by gathering, analyzing, and presenting financial, operational, and market data.
Assist in reviewing and managing contracts, transaction documentation, and board/shareholder approvals.
Maintain project documentation and ensure efficient communication across teams involved in corporate development initiatives.
Help prepare materials, investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for senior management, the board, and stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., finance, legal, operations) to support the execution of corporate transactions and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.-
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a similar field.
Familiarity with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
Exposure to M&A transactions, business development, strategic planning, and corporate governance processes is a plus.
Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Datastudio, Qlik, etc.) is required.

Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis) and G-Suitet (presentation and document preparation, record-keeping).
Proficiency in BI tools for data visualization, reporting, and analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data.
Professional proficiency in English: excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex financial and business concepts clearly.
Exceptional organizational skills—ability to manage multiple projects, track deliverables, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the technology, manufacturing, robotics, or autonomous vehicle industries is highly desirable.
